This months SAPPHIC BOOK CLUB pick is The Lamb by Lucy Rose. Next meeting is October 27th at 6:30pm
Paperback
Reinventing Sci-Fi– Ring Shout by P. Djèlí Clark. This one is a fantastical horror novella that I think will be timely before Halloween and play off of our Booksellers FAVES title, The Fire Next Time, by James Baldwin.
Paperback
The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende. This one is a bit longer, but it’s one I’ve been wanting to get to for a while now and I think the fall is a perfect time to dive in!
Paperback
November 19: Reinventing Sci-Fi– Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie. This is a sci-fi classic and another one that’s slightly longer, but we’ll have a break with sci-fi in December and I thought it would be interesting to revisit humanity and artificial intelligence around the time that Klara and the Sun movie premiers. (Also would we want a group field trip to see this movie?)
